    I can not fit the vinyl under this rod without it clipping and getting caught up in the machine.

      Hi Mildred,
      The vinyl will go under the rod when the machine sucks it in. You butt the vinyl up against the roller bar and the click "load" and it will suck it under. You don't want to actually put the vinyl under the rod yourself, let the machine load it for you.
