October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
the most common form of cancer in women. Breast cancer is the number one cause of cancer
death in Hispanic women. It is the second most common cause of cancer death in
white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native women. Early detection is key to survival for many women, and spreading awareness saves lives. That is why
Craft-e-Corner has chosen the National Breast Cancer Foundation as the recipient of our donation this month. This is in addition to a donation to a scrapbooking retreat raising funds for the "Feel your Boobies" campaign. Through our donations, we hope to give women a chance at early detection, therefore saving lives.
Some of our very own employees have personal connections with people who have faced Breast cancer. Lets fight this battle together!

Some great fund-raising ideas are available online this month. Some of our 'faves' include "Scrap for Survival" and Scrapbooking retreats, as well as Cards for a Cause. This October, THINK PINK! See where it takes you.....

Past Charity Events

Some of the highlights of the day were:
The Make n' Take provided by Shelley Olson was a big hit. She had these cute little paper milk cartons that we made and filled with candy.
Another big hit was the generous donation of a 6"x12"piece of vinyl donated by Expressions Vinyl to every goody bag. Some ladies were not sure what it was for.....but.....once one lady came up to the cricut and we cut out a fun design....when word spread....we had a line waiting to cut out a vinyl decal for family rooms, bathrooms, outdoor signs, car windows, and more!
