Who we
are…
Our family owned business began in
early 2008 when we took our hobby of scrapbooking to a new level. With three
young children and a love of preserving their special moments, we launched our
on-line scrapbooking e-commerce store, Craft-e-Corner.
From the beginning, we never lost
sight of our original goals - fast shipping, quality customer service, and the most competitive prices in the industry. Our strong work ethic quickly
earned us a PowerSeller rating on eBay; and we quickly expanded our store and
product line, but our goals have stayed the same. We look forward to serving
all of your scrapbook and crafting needs for many years to come.
Dean and Carrie Duehring…
and the Craft-e-Corner staff
Meet the Craft-e-Corner Team
Dean is co-owner of Craft-e-Corner with his “lovely wife, Carrie.” After years of teaching high school Economics, it was a natural course of events to join Carrie and their three daughters in founding Craft-e-Corner as a family business. From the outset, a determination was made to treat employees as part of that kinship, extending flexibility for them to balance job and home life. He gets daily inspiration from watching their girls as little helpers in craft projects – which in turn encourages him to offer quality crafting materials for others. Dean will give you one of his easy smiles when describing the pride he takes in selling family friendly products that document important memories. He is busy, but when he's not working, you’ll find him playing volleyball, golf, or teaching the girls to water-ski… just about any outdoor activity, especially during our short Wisconsin summers.
Carrie co-owns Craft-e-Corner with her husband, Dean, and their three daughters. She’s a busy and attentive person who handles many of the details and a lot of the research that goes into our company. Carrie likes to read – although these days it’s often children’s literature – along with bowling, swimming, playing cards and entertaining. You catch her sense of humor in anything she does but you won’t catch her in red – unless her childhood dream of becoming a tractor comes true. Carrie’s description for the love of scrapbooking may strike a note with many of us. “It allows me to express thoughts and emotions in ways I may not express outwardly. I can be playful, loud, mismatched, excessive and frilly. “Melissa works in Customer Service, but she’s had a variety of jobs…from a Magician’s assistant to working with pets to corporate administrative. Born and raised in Wisconsin, a friend introduced her to scrapbooking through a craft show several years ago - and she never looked back. Coming to Craft-e-Corner is “like a dream come true” since scrapbooking has become her great passion. When she’s not with her husband or eight year old son – or any of her four cats - she’s tucked away in the basement craft room finding that special “peace and comfort” you get from creating.
Brenton is our Interactive Online Marketing guru. Originally from Fond du Lac, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Marketing and Human Resources. There, along with his fiancé, he had a strong interest in the mission trips of the Campus Crusade for Christ organization. After completing an internship at Craft-e-Corner, Brenton stayed on full time… getting smarter and advising us every day in the online marketing arena. Someday, he’d like to have his own advertising business, but we may not let him go.
Tim manages the warehouse and order fulfillment at Craft-e-Corner. He’s an outdoors guy, and when he’s not working or going to school (busy man) you’ll find him with his girlfriend at a concert or Brewer game – maybe hiking or disc golfing. Some day, he plans to travel. But for today, his Environmental Studies education keeps him close to home and focused. His long range goal is in the renewable energy field – with a strong interest in solar. Tim not only gets the orders out efficiently, his environmental conscience helps keep our company green.
