I found the platter at a rummage sale for a $1.00! I wanted to try out the Etching Creme and I certainly didn't want to try it out on something that was actually worth anything. But I think I could have! For using the Etching Creme for the 1st time I think it turned out great! I used the Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge that actually comes on the Gypsy & the Black 12" Vinyl & Transfer Paper to transfer the image to the platter.
The only thing I noticed was that where I didn't have a nice thick coat it was a little lighter or I should say a little less etched, so just make sure when you try it that it's a nice even thick coat. Although that gives it character. It's ok to use as much as you want cause all the excess can be reused! But all around it was a very easy project to do. Just follow the instructions on the bottle.
