Cricut Buying Made Easier for Schools
The Cricut AutoPress 2 12x12 Heat Press gives schools a simple way to make custom apparel and fabric projects with automatic pressure and consistent heat. Use it with compatible iron-on, HTV, DTF transfers, Infusible Ink, and sublimation blanks to create spirit wear, staff shirts, club gear, tote bags, and fundraiser items.
This 12" x 12" heat press is a practical option for teacher workrooms, makerspaces, and school programs that regularly personalize apparel. Hands-free pressing reduces the effort of holding and pressing each design, while adjustable time and temperature controls help staff choose settings for the material being used. The Powder Blue machine includes a pressing mat.
Designed for School Apparel and Repeat Projects
Cricut AutoPress 2 works well for teachers, PTO/PTA groups, clubs, and school programs making multiple items with the same design. Automatic pressing helps simplify repeat projects, whether staff are preparing matching event shirts or making items for a school fundraiser.
Use it for:
School spirit shirts and sweatshirts
Staff and teacher apparel
Field trip and volunteer shirts
Club and team gear
Tote bags and library bags
Fundraiser merchandise
Teacher appreciation gifts
Educator-led makerspace projects
Automatic Pressing with Simple Controls
Set the time and temperature using the built-in control panel, with four customizable presets for frequently used settings. The press reaches temperatures up to 410°F. Optional Bluetooth connectivity lets staff send compatible settings from the Cricut Design Space mobile app and follow its interactive Heat Guide. Always follow the recommended settings for your transfer material and blank.
12" x 12" Heat Plate and Slide-Out Tray
The heat plate provides even heat for a range of shirt, sweatshirt, and tote bag designs. A slide-out tray gives staff room to position materials before pressing. Plan for a dedicated workspace on a flat, stable surface with enough clearance to operate the tray.
AutoPress 2 vs. EasyPress SE
Choose AutoPress 2 if your school regularly makes matching apparel or wants automatic pressure for repeat projects. Choose EasyPress SE if portability, occasional use, and storage flexibility are your main priorities.
What Else Do Schools Need?
For cut-your-own HTV projects, pair this press with a Cricut cutting machine, iron-on material, a weeding tool, and compatible fabric blanks. Prepared transfers offer another option when cutting your own designs is unnecessary. Select blanks that match the requirements of your transfer material.
School Use
Plan for educator and staff operation in a designated pressing area. Cricut AutoPress 2 is not intended for use by children ages 12 and younger.
