Head on over to Craft-e-Corner Cricut Community Facebook Group for more inspiration and education!

If you haven't heard the news yet, there are two new Cricut die-cutting machines: the Cricut Maker 3 and the Cricut Explore 3. In this post today, we're going to highlight some of the features of Cricut Maker 3.

To get started, you might be wondering, "Did I miss the Maker 2?" Nope, you sure didn't! Since the Maker 3 and Explore 3 are launching at the same time, Cricut wanted to keep the numbers the same so they are in the same generation. The previous model to this new machine was the Cricut Maker and now we have the Cricut Maker 3 — let's check it out.

COMPATIBLE WITH SMART MATERIALS

The Cricut Maker 3 has brand new technology that allows it to work with Smart Materials. With Smart Materials, you no longer need to use a cutting mat. Currently, there is Smart Vinyl, Smart Iron-on and Smart Paper Sticker Cardstock. Now you can cut up to 12 feet long on the Cricut Maker 3 without the use of a cutting mat. Imagine all of the projects you could be making!

2X FASTER THAN ITS PREDECESSOR

The Cricut Maker 3 is 2x faster than the Cricut Maker when cutting Smart Materials. Now you can get your projects done faster than ever before!

CUTS 300+ MATERIALS

The Cricut Maker 3 is a beast of a machine — it can cut over 300+ materials from the most delicate fabric and paper to basswood and leather. It is a really powerful machine!

COMPATIBLE WITH 13 TOOLS FOR CUTTING, WRITING, SCORING, FOILING & EMBELLISHING

There are so many blades and tools to use with Cricut Maker 3! The opportunities for crafting are endless. You can cut virtually any fabric with the Rotary Blade. If you're interested in expanding your crafting into thicker materials, Cricut Maker 3 can cut thicker materials up to 2.4mm thick with the Knife Blade. The Scoring and Double Scoring Wheels create razor-sharp creases and crisp folds. And if you're interested in adding foil embellishments to your projects, you'll love the Foil Transfer Tool! This is just the tip of the ice berg — there are so many more tools that will allow you to create effects like engraving, debasing and more.

COMPATIBLE WITH CRICUT ROLL HOLDER TO SUPPORT ROLLS OF SMART MATERIAL UP TO 75 FEET

Now that you can create cuts up to 12 feet long on Cricut Maker 3, Cricut created a roll holder to support these large rolls of vinyl you may be working with. The new Cricut roll Holder can hold rolls of Smart Material up to 75 feet.

We hope you're excited for the new Cricut Maker 3! We are so excited to be offering it here at Craft-e-Corner. Make sure to mark your calendars for June 10 and snag yours here at Craft-e-Corner!
