Looking for a charming and customizable table decoration or party favor for your spring gathering? This 3D paper vase with a succulent topper is a perfect choice! You can create it in colors that match your party theme, and for an added treat, leave the succulent unglued to the vase, so you can fill it with goodies your guests can take home. The Cricut scoring tool makes it super easy to fold and assemble the vase, ensuring a polished finish every time.
Create your cut design in Cricut Design Space. I am using Pineapple Geometric Vase (#M6628F2D) and 3D Succulent (#M300C5F1E) included with my Cricut Access subscription.
For this project, cut out the vase from light purple cardstock (or any color you like) and the succulent from green cardstock. The vase will be made up of two pieces: one long, irregular rectangular shape for the sides, and one star shape for the bottom. The succulent will have 7 petals, each getting smaller in size, with the largest one being around 3x3 inches.
If you want, you can roll the outer edges of the succulent petals to give them some extra volume. Then, stack the petals from largest to smallest, one on top of the other, and use a glue dot or a little bit of white glue to hold each layer in place.
Fold the sides of the vase along the score lines, all in the same direction. Then, bring the short ends together at the tab and secure them with a glue dot or a bit of white glue. This will give you a cylindrical shape.
Fold the top flaps in toward the inside of the vase, then do the same with the bottom flaps. Glue the star piece onto the bottom to close it up.
You can add some floral marbles inside to weigh it down and then glue the succulent on top. Or, if you want to turn it into a treat box, just fill the vase with some treats for your guests and place the succulent on top.
And there you have it! Super cute 3D paper vases for your spring gathering. Plus, they’re easy to customize with your favorite colors and treats for your guests. Enjoy making them, and have fun watching your guests’ faces light up when they take them home!
