Reel Cool Dad Men's Fishing Shirt Gift Using Cricut Iron-On

Today, we're using Cricut iron-on materials to create a unique fishing-themed shirt that's sure to "reel in" compliments. Whether it's for Father's Day, a birthday, or just because, this personalized shirt will showcase your creativity and his love for all things angling.

Materials:

• Dark colored long sleeve tee or sweatshirt
• Cricut Smart Iron-on in white or other contrasting color
• Cricut Weeding Tool
• Cricut EasyPress Machine or Cricut AutoPress Machine
• Cricut Heat Press Mat
• Cricut Cutting Machine

Note: The sleeve cut design for this project is almost 20 inches long and will require either a Smart Cutting Machine plus Smart Iron-on for a long continuous cut (Explore 3 or Maker 3) or a Cricut machine using a 24 inch extra long LightGrip Cutting Mat.

Directions:

Create your cut design in Cricut Design Space or go directly to this project. I'm using the following designs included with Cricut Access:

• Fish #M4FD654EA
• Reel Cool Dad #M28F62B52
• Crescent #M2AAB3EA8
• Cricut Sans (font)

Make the project, taking care to mirror the design before cutting.

Weed the iron-on to remove the excess material using your favorite weeding tool.

Follow the instructions in Cricut's Heat Guide or follow the prompts from the Cricut Heat App (if using EasyPress 3) to apply the weeded iron-on to your t-shirt.

1. Preheat your heat press machine to the recommended temperature and preheat your shirt for 5 seconds.
2. Place the weeded heat transfer vinyl sticky-side-down on the shirt and press for the recommended time.
3. Slowly remove the carrier sheet when cool to the touch.
4. Wait 24 hours before washing and drying your shirt turned instead out.
