Disposable Camera Wrap Using Cricut Printable Vinyl

Imagine your guests wandering around your wedding or party, snapping candid moments on disposable cameras - and then realizing each camera is totally personalized just for them. That’s exactly what we’re making today! With a little help from Cricut printable vinyl, you can turn plain disposable cameras into cute, custom keepsakes that match your event perfectly. It’s easy, fun, and adds a personal touch your guests will love.

Materials:

• Cricut Printable Vinyl
• Cricut Cutting Machine (that supports Print Then Cut)
• Home ink jet printer

Directions:

Start by opening this blank camera wrap template in Cricut Design Space. This gives you the perfect base to work from. Once the project is open, you can personalize it to match your event. Add names, dates, or a fun message for your guests. You can also change the background color or upload patterns and clip art that coordinate with your wedding or celebration theme.

When you’re happy with the design, make sure your project is set to Print Then Cut. This tells Cricut to first print your design on printable vinyl using your printer, and then cut it out precisely along the outline. Click “Make It” in Cricut Design Space, and the software will guide you through the Print Then Cut process.

First, your design will print on your home printer using Cricut Printable Vinyl. Be sure to load the vinyl so it prints on the printable side - that’s the side your design will show on. After printing, let the ink dry for a minute or two so it doesn’t smudge.

Next, place the printed vinyl sheet on a Cricut cutting mat, lining it up carefully with the grid. Load the mat into your Cricut machine, and it will read the black registration marks around your design to cut it out perfectly. 

When it’s done cutting, carefully peel away the excess vinyl, leaving just your camera wrap design on the backing sheet.

Now comes the fun part - wrapping your camera! Carefully peel the backing off your printed vinyl, exposing the sticky side. Take your time here; you want to avoid touching the adhesive too much so it stays nice and tacky.

Line up the vinyl with the edges of the camera, making sure important areas like the lens, flash, and buttons stay uncovered. Start by pressing one edge or corner in place, then slowly smooth the rest of the wrap onto the camera body. Use your fingers to gently press out any air bubbles or wrinkles as you go.

And just like that, your cameras are party-ready! Personalized, fun, and totally memorable - your guests are going to love snapping pics and taking these little keepsakes home.
