If you're looking for a thoughtful and fun handmade gift for a teacher this Christmas, these pencil earrings are the perfect project! They’re cute, creative, and super easy to make with your Cricut.
You can jump right into this project in Cricut Design Space - just click the link and it’ll open right up for you to start working on it.

Follow the Design Space prompts to make the project, cutting the base of the earrings from yellow faux leather. Then, use Cricut Iron-on to cut out the pencil details and markings - those will go right on top to bring the design to life!

Once you’ve finished cutting the iron-on, take a few minutes to weed it - carefully remove all the extra vinyl so you're left with just the design you want to transfer.

Now it’s time to add the iron-on to your faux leather pencil base. Use your Cricut EasyPress to press it on - just make sure everything’s lined up nicely before you apply the heat. If you have the EasyPress Mini, it’s perfect for this kind of small, detailed project. Set it to the medium heat setting, and press for about 30 seconds, using gentle pressure and slow circular motions. Once you're done, let it cool a bit before peeling off the backing.

Grab a pair of needle nose pliers and use them to open up a jump ring. Slide the ring through the hole at the top of your earring, then attach it to a fish hook earring wire. Once everything’s in place, gently close the jump ring back up with your pliers. And just like that, your earring is ready to wear!

If you want to add a little extra charm - especially if you’re planning to give these earrings as a gift - cut out an earring display card included with this project from white cardstock. It’s made to look like a sheet of classic ruled school paper, which ties in perfectly with the pencil theme and gives your handmade earrings a fun, thoughtful presentation.

And that’s it - your adorable pencil earrings are all done and ready to gift! Whether you're surprising a favorite teacher or just making them for fun, this project is such a simple way to add a handmade touch to the holiday season. I hope you had as much fun creating them as I did. Happy crafting!
