Back-to-school season is one of my favorite times of year. There’s just something so exciting about fresh beginnings, new routines, and of course…cute outfits! If you have a little one heading into kindergarten, making a custom “Kindergarten Vibes” t-shirt is such a fun way to celebrate this big milestone.
This project is easy, colorful, and perfect for first-day photos. Plus, it’s a great way to create something personal that your kiddo will love wearing.
The best part about this project is that it’s already ready to make in Cricut Design Space. All you have to do is open it up and you’re on your way:

I’m using cut design #M4C0235E8, which is included with my Cricut Access Subscription.
Before cutting, make sure to resize the design if needed, depending on the size of the t-shirt you’re making.

Once your design is sized correctly, follow the on-screen prompts in Cricut Design Space to cut each layer. This project uses 4 different colors of Cricut Iron-on, which makes it bright, playful, and perfect for kindergarten vibes.
If you want to save time, you can cut multiple colors in one session by organizing your mats ahead of time and making sure each layer is assigned to the correct color before hitting “Make It.”

Use your favorite weeding tools to carefully remove the excess vinyl around your design. Once everything is weeded, you’ll have clean layers ready to press.

Using your Cricut Heat Press, transfer one layer of cut lettering at a time. Be sure to align each layer carefully so the final design looks perfect.

When pressing multiple layers, it can help to place a piece of parchment paper over the design to protect the layers underneath while you press the next one. And take care to avoid overheating the earlier layers.

Making a “Kindergarten Vibes” t-shirt is such a fun way to add a special touch to your child’s first day. Plus, it’s something you can look back on in photos and remember this exciting stage forever. Whether you’re crafting for your own kiddo or making one as a gift, this project is guaranteed to bring smiles and all the happy kindergarten energy.
Happy crafting and happy back to school!
Did you know you can cut multiple vinyl colors on a single cutting mat? It’s a quick and easy way to save time - no more loading and unloading mats for each color or layer. Let me show you how simple it is!

When I first started making shirts with my Cricut and iron-on vinyl, I stuck to one-color designs because layering felt intimidating. But once I finally tried it, I realized it was much easier than I expected! Watch the video to see just how simple it is to layer multiple colors of HTV.

Cricut released the EasyPress 3 along with the new Cricut Heat App, available in both 9x9 and 12x10 sizes. In this post, you’ll learn how to set up and use the EasyPress 3, activate it, and create a project step-by-step with the Cricut Heat App.
