Make cute felt Halloween treat bags for a kids’ party, classroom celebration, or trick-or-treat event. These little bags are decorated to look like classic Halloween characters, including Frankenstein, ghost, cat, and jack-o’-lantern.
The design is already available in Cricut Design Space, so you can open the project and get started right away. The faces are cut from Cricut Iron-On and applied to the felt bags for a clean, colorful finish.

To make each bag, start by cutting two matching rectangles from felt. These will become the front and back of the treat bag. You can cut the felt by hand, or you can use your Cricut Maker for a more precise cut. To cut felt with a Cricut Maker, place the felt onto a FabricGrip Machine Mat and smooth it down well. Load the Rotary Blade into the machine, choose the appropriate felt material setting in Design Space, and cut the bag pieces. Carefully remove the felt from the mat once the cut is complete.

Next, use your Cricut machine to cut the character faces from Cricut Iron-On. Weed away the extra iron-on material so only the face designs remain.
Place the iron-on face onto the front felt piece of each bag. Use your Cricut Heat Press to apply the design, following the recommended time, temperature, and pressure settings in the Cricut Heat Guide for the materials you are using. Let the design cool as directed before removing the carrier sheet.

Once the faces are attached, fold the top edge of both the front and back felt pieces down about 1 inch. This will create the casing for the drawstring. Place the front and back felt pieces together with the decorated side facing out. Using black embroidery floss, stitch along the sides and bottom of the bag with a simple whip stitch or blanket stitch.

Next, stitch the folded top edges in place with black embroidery floss using a running stitch. Be sure to leave the ends open so you can thread the cord through the casing.

To finish the bag, thread decorative cord, ribbon, or string through the top casing. Pull the cord to cinch the bag closed, then fill it with candy, small toys, or party favors.

Make a festive Halloween shirt using Cricut Iron-On and a blank T-shirt. Choose a cute Halloween design such as a ghost, pumpkin, bat, witch hat, or “Spooky Season” phrase. Cut the design with your Cricut machine, weed away the extra iron-on, and apply it to the shirt with a Cricut Heat Press.

Create a Halloween garland with cardstock, felt, or iron-on designs. Cut shapes like pumpkins, ghosts, bats, candy corn, black cats, or haunted houses with your Cricut machine. Then string the shapes onto twine, ribbon, or yarn to make a festive decoration.

Print then cut the stickers with your Cricut machine, then place them on wrapped candy bars or individually packaged treats. These are perfect for classroom parties, teacher gifts, coworker treats, Halloween party favors, or boo baskets.
