Hey there, coffee enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for the perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life, look no further. Today, we’re making a stylish and personalized glass|can|cup wrap using Cricut vinyl that’s sure to make any coffee break feel extra special. With a few materials and some Cricut magic, you’ll transform a plain glass jar or ceramic mug into a charming coffee-themed masterpiece. Let’s get started on this delightful DIY project that’s perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself!
Create your cut design in Cricut Design Space. I am using a 3 layer "More Coffee Please" SVG cut design that I found at HeatherRobertsArt on Etsy as the centerpiece for my jar wrap.

I have embellished the More Coffee Please design with additional coffee cup, coffee bean and daisy flower motifs - like these cut designs included with your Cricut Access subscription:

Measure the circumference of your jar or mug and size the cut design to be about 1/2 to 1 inch smaller than that measurement. This ensures the wrap fits snugly around the jar without overlapping. The gap at the ends of the wrap will vary based on the size of your design elements. Larger jars with bigger motifs will need a wider gap, while smaller jars or mugs can accommodate a smaller gap.
Make the project, cutting each of the 3 wrap layers from a different shade of brown vinyl.

Carefully weed the vinyl using your favorite weeding tool. Remove the excess vinyl around your design, ensuring you only leave the desired elements on the backing or carrier sheet. Take your time to peel away small pieces and intricate details without tearing the design. Using a weeder tool makes this process easier and more precise, helping you achieve a clean, professional finish.

Use Cricut Transfer Tape to move the vinyl layers onto your project. Begin with the light brown layer and transfer it onto the carrier sheet with the medium brown layer. Next, place both the light and medium brown layers onto the carrier sheet with the dark brown layer. Now you have all 3 vinyl layers on one vinyl carrier sheet. This method ensures all the layers align correctly and adhere seamlessly to your surface.

Finally, use a piece of transfer tape to apply all three vinyl layers to your glass jar at once. Gently press the transfer tape onto the jar, starting from the center and working your way outwards. This helps prevent air bubbles and ensures a smooth application. If you encounter stubborn wrinkles or bubbles, gently heat the vinyl with a hairdryer to make it more pliable, then smooth it out. Once the vinyl is in place, carefully peel away the transfer tape at a 45-degree angle to avoid lifting the vinyl.
